Agile Coach

Job Description

Ekipa Indonesia is looking for an Agile Coach for our Agile Services team. Are you an essential ingredient in the agile recipe for success? Do you periodically check up on teams, help them stay on track with agile techniques, and fine-tune behavior as needed? Are you experienced in implementing agile projects and can share that experience with a project team?

What You Will Do

  • You will be responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and motivating agile teams to achieve performance and quality in delivering products that provide business value to users.
  • You will work hands-on with the scrum masters in one or several teams and support other scrum masters in their work.
  • Facilitate the agile way of working and mindset
  • Help team to answer all the questions on the agile process during the project execution; that means agile coach need to be on the ground so that he can answer the questions immediately.
  • Mentor: Focusing on people and Continuous Improvement all the time; provide the team a platform for improvement not only during the retro but all the time.
  • Help product owner to write user stories, Help team on the estimating of the user stories and prepare them for the same.
  • Help scrum masters to facilitate meetings
  • Be a mirror: provide practical feedback to grow all team members
  • Provide training to the team on the agile process; training will continue all the time during the project execution and continuous improvement on velocity, quality, processes etc.

  • You demonstrate strong knowledge of and background with Agile
  • 5+ years of professional experience managing software development and working with (scrum) teams
  • Experience in training and coaching

Agile Engineering Coach

Job Description 

Ekipa Indonesia is looking for an Agile Engineering Coach to join our Agile Services team. Are You passionate about pairing to solve difficult problems? Do you believe in test driving your own code? Are you a collaboration whiz? Are you in love with Agile and Lean?

As an Agile Engineering Coach you will be a hands-on member of software development teams in order to exemplify technology practices emphasized by extreme programming (XP). Through coaching, facilitating classes and conducting workshops you will raise the agile acumen of the team resulting in increased productivity and code quality.

What You Will Do

  • Transform leadership and development team members in the adoption of Agile engineering practices
  • Coach the practices of Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban as a hands-on embedded technology member of the team
  • Organize engineering trainings and train the trainer (inhouse trainers)
  • Teach team members through example, classes and workshops Agile engineering practices as exemplified by extreme programming such as clean code, unit testing, Test Driven Development (TDD), Behavior Driven Development (BDD), DevOps, Functional Test Automation and Continuous Delivery
  • Improve code quality by teaching team members how to use code quality tools and metrics.
  • Introduce and teach team members how to create continuous delivery pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo and GO.
  • Introduce and teach team members BDD using implementations such as Cucumber, JBehave and Concordiant.
  • Lead and set standards for code quality, unit test code coverage and in sprint functional test automation.
  • Transform leadership by executing proof-of-concepts (POCs) as required.

What We Are Looking For In You 

  • Minimum 5 years as a delivery team member on an Agile team
  • You are an engineering guru
  • Knowledgeable and passion about Agile, Lean, software development, testing, and coaching.
  • Have experience with Acceptance Test Driven Development, Test-Driven Development, and Pair Programming.
  • Openness to travel as this role involves opportunity to work in Jakarta and Singapore

As a scrum master for Ekipa, you will be a facilitator and coach. Our scrum masters are able to communicate and convince people at all levels within the organization. Your focus is not only on the team, but also on hierarchy, culture, training and people development. You work with people and process instead of pure scrum mechanics.

What You Will Do

  • You will fulfil the role of the Scrum Master (also leading multiple Scrum Teams) at different customers
  • Coach teams on ‘playing’ the different roles
  • Facilitate the events
  • Coach on self organization
  • Help setup and maintain artifacts: product and sprint backlog
  • Ensure teams can make their commitments
  • Work with stakeholders at all levels to move them towards agility
  • Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
  • Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged
  • Provide training where required

What We Are Looking For In You

  • You will be responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and motivating Scrum project teams to achieve optimum performance and quality in delivering projects that provide business value to users
  • You must be process plus people focused Manager who is continually working within the people implementing the process
  • You will be the Delivery manager who is supposed to ensure quality delivery in the specified timelines to the Clients
  • A minimum experience of 6+ years managing a minimum of 6-7 scrum teams and ensuring delivery is focussed
  • Demonstrating strong knowledge of and background with Scrum concepts
  • Must have excellent technical knowledge, though this position do not involve coding at all. The aim of this criteria is to understand in a technical perspective, when a developer explains the issues and technical feasibility(s)
  • Mentor: Focusing on people and Continuous Improvement all the time; provide team a platform for improvement always
  • Must be able to provide Architecturing solutions on Web (PHP, nodejs, reactjs, Angularjs) and Mobile (ios, Android)
  • A general idea about the estimations and the scope of the project
  • Supposed to work closely with Product managers in both Thailand and Singapore offices and involve in technical planning, manage issues, etc
  • You will be working full-time in Singapore and/ Thailand switching as work demands

Would be Nice If You Also Possess These

  • Scrum Master certification
  • Coding expertise in Full stack technologies with MySQL or SQL databases
  • Experience managing 10+ Scrum teams at MNC’s
  • Function point analysis based estimation experience

Product Owner

Job Description

For one of our partners (based out of Manila), we are looking for talented professionals strong on the marketing side of running a casino, especially the e-business side. Ideally, this person will be chosen together with the marketing team in Manila since it should align with future growth path. This person will work with the development scrum teams as a Product Owner.

What You Will Do

  • Join the daily scrum stand ups as product manager
  • Define stories and epics for the scrum team to base their structure on
  • Maintain part of the roadmap business case to solution description
  • Work together with the other product owner(s) to ensure that there is full coverage
  • Find innovative business use for technical solutions available
  • Manage the Customer Experience. Work together with the UX specialists for the optimal result
  • Define the A-B test to get to this
  • Report business alignment for the product and marketing related issues as part of the vision team
  • Work on budgets and validate them

What We Are Looking For In You

  • You should have experience in everything that is needed to run an online casino on the business side, including product selection, reporting, marketing (automation)
  • Must be able to collect specific requirements from existing organizations and define simple and clear solutions to it as part of the vision team
  • Works together with the finance and risk management teams and possible customers
  • Data and fact driven personality who is not afraid to define experiments in order to validate various opinions. Ideally, has experience in defining A-B tests to continuously optimize the format
  • Experience working with development teams directly preferably using agile like Scrum
  • No problem writing documentation for vision building. Should be strong in speaking and in writing
  • Know what new developments are current in the online gaming world and be opinionated about it
  • Enable the organization to set-up a very efficient conversion and registration process including the campaigning and the monitoring
  • Experience in the business for at least 3-4 years and ideally also in adjacent business like online marketing, e-business, social media
